Activotes Arrived Today!!

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post!
My activotes arrived today!! I'm very excited but am looking at them thinking "where do I start!"
Hoping some experienced Activote users can offer some advice about some great flipcharts to download from the Planet or some online tutorials I can look at to get me started. ????

For flipcharts using activote I suggest you use the advanced search in resources and specify "assessment" and the age range of your students. There have recently been a great set of mental maths flips added(advanced search last week)

Use the videos to help you set-up and then for ideas of use.

Make sure to check out all the resources for Activotes in the Resource Library>Shared Collections>Images>Lesson Building Tools.
There is some great stuff there.

It has 2 presentations I have done at Activ08 Conferences. One shows ways you can use the votes for Higher Level thinking. The other one shows how you can take a standard lesson and how you can use your Activ-tools to transform it into a 21st Century Lesson.

They will definitely help you better plan for more in-depth, amazing flipcharts with ActiVotes. Thank you for all the wonderful resources!
I'm having some great fun with my Activotes, a few teething probs with the numbering of devices, but overall its going well.


Ben, I'm having trouble downloading the Activstudio Discussion and Opinion prompts resource pack. When I click on the download link it is showing that the file size is only 4KB and it is not appearing with my other downloaded resource packs.

Can anyone help?'

Hi, Jacki.

It is something to do with Promethean Resource Server. It had a Server time out which lead to the problem you are facing.

I have try the link too. I guess we can only wait till promethean fix it.

Seems to be working fine now but a little slow.

Some time too slow for the machine to follow through. Therefore, a lot of normal machine will drop the connection.

If a server is slow, it is not serving it purpose (From a technical point of view).

Time to upgrade to a bigger bandwidth, or faster server.
