Help! I work on a mac I've attached a URL link to and object (a utube video). The object opens the web page, but when I try to go to full screen view of the video, it plays behind the webpage and I can't close it. I've attached a picture of my screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try this.

Go to your Main Menu>Preferences
Then click on Linked File Hosting and un-check "Use Web Browser"

That will make your website pull up in your default browser (Probably Safari or Firefox) and not the Promethean one.

This should allow you to view the video in full-screen mode. Now you can also use the Desktop Overlay mode to annotate over the video!

Let me know if this works for ya!

IT WORKED! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

I can't begin to tell you the level of frustration I was experiencing. I just got my board in December, used a lot of pre-made lessons posted on the Planet. After NECC and The Boston Summit, I've just started creating some of my own (was beginning to wonder if it was worth it (just kidding)! I had some very "un-teacher" like thoughts at my computer the other night.

56 views of my problem...and the first reply worked! The power of collaboration at work! Thanks again to you and all those who viewed.

Keep posting those problems...together we can find answers!

Wendy,

So happy that we were able to solve your problem!

If you are looking to get videos off of YouTube, there is a great Mac program called Tooble.

As you move forward this school year, if you have questions, please continue to use the forum and the search feature. Have a great week!
