Is there a way to modify the text or images on backgrounds in the Shared Background folder? For example, I used a Welcome back to School background with a penguin on it and I would like something else. I also would like to change the text at the top.

It depends on how the Background was made. My experience with background is that they tend to be 'pictures' and therefore the different components that make up the page are not separate objects and therefore can't be edited.

Page templates on the other hand often have all the objects locked on the background and therefore can be unlocked and moved or changed.

I am not sure how the page you are trying to change fits into the descriptions above. Could you submit it so that I could have a look at it?

I have found that the best way to modify backgrounds, is to cover up what you don't want, then save it to the background.

So if there is text that you don't want, just put a box on top of it (Same color as the rest of the background), then right click it>Edit>Move to Background Layer. Now you can add your own text!

Or... modify your background as Scott suggested with a coloured square etc, add new typing, then take a picture of the background with your camera tool. Save it to your resource library (using the 3rd button on the photo toolbar that pops up), then navigate to My Backgrounds.

Now you can drag it into any flipchart. But if it's a one-off then Scott's way is quicker.:)

Attached flipchart shows original background, then modified with squares, pictures over the top (that can be moved around), followed by new background page.

Cheers,
