Firstly, when I go to customize toolstore I get two new tooboxes up next to the toolstore. how can I get those to stay after I close the toolstore.

What I would really like is all the available tools to be displayed at the top of my flipchart. Is there anyway to have them all up there in two or three rows?

I am finding it really difficult to work with not having all the tools on diplay and having to go into menues to find them.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I think one of the toolstrips you are talking about are the Power Tools, and to open those while working, you just need to click on the Hammer icon in your regular toolstrip.

Also, have you played around in Design Mode? If not, this may be an option for you. Simply press F2, and it will switch over into that for you. This has more tools displaying at one time. But remember, things like Actions and Containers will not work in Design Mode, so to see those you will need to go back into Presentation Mode...

Hope these suggestions help...

To get the second toolbox to stay: go to Menu, Studio Settings, Toolboxes and check Show Quick Select toolbox. Now if you right click on a page the Quick Select toolbox opens. :)

You can also get that toolbar across the top to stay by going into the main menu, selecting customise, and under flipchart style selecting Windows. Then, go back into the same location and ensure that Main Tool Bar is checked. Now, you have that tool bar even when you are not in design mode, and can bring up tools to add to it in the tool store.

Dan,

Does this work for Macs as well? I tried to find the items you mentioned, but no luck. Any advice?

Hello, Bill. If there is a way to activate that for the Mac, I haven't found it. My suspicion is that there is not, because in Windows the toolbar in question will also appear when design mode is activated, but not on the Mac.

Is there a way to save a flipchart as a template that would have be in design mode so those tools are present at the git-go? I love having the pen modifier tools always at hand. (I know I can ctrl-click…)

Always going to the bottom right corner, and navigating through two more sheets is SO  trying…

Hello, Bill. I don't know of a way to have a flipchart come up in design mode by default, but there are easier ways to toggle design mode and access the pen modifier toolbox than normal- both have their own tools in the toolstore on the Mac side. They're the second and third from the right across the top row. Add either or both to your sidebar and I think you'll be set.

For Windows users, I should point out that the toggle design mode tool is not, to the best of my knowledge, available on Windows and that the pen modifier toolbox is the fourth icon from the left at the top row.

Thanks, Dan. Those will do nicely.
