I'd like to purchase an ACTIVhub to go along with my 32 ACTIVotes RF. I assume that it will work with any ACTIVotes, but want to be sure. Can anyone tell me if it does, and also what's the cost? Looking forward to your responses.

Thanks for helping!

Hello, Letishia. That's a good question. It depends on the model of the Activhub and the Activotes. I'm afraid I can't speak on pricing or availability on either, and will suggest that you contact your reseller for that information.

There are two types of Activotes and two types of Activhubs: 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz. A 915 MHz hub will be shaped like an Activote with a USB cable coming out of the back. The 2.4 GHz hub will look like a large black thumb drive with an antenna. The votes will look mostly the same, but the 2.4 GHz will have a wireless symbol on the face. You can also check by looking at the base of the votes and seeing the model number, PRM-AV2... is the 915 MHz and PRM-AV3... is the 2.4.

Neither hub works with either vote- they only work with the votes on their frequency. So before you contact your reseller, check to see what type of vote you have, and be sure to specify what type of hub you need for information on pricing and availability. Hopefully this helps. Thank you!

Daniel,

Thanks so much for a prompt, detailed response. I will check the type of Activotes I have when I return to school in the next few weeks and then proceed from there. I appreciate you responding.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

Hi
I think you probably have the older votes as you would have received a hub otherwise with the set.
Another and easy way to check is to see whether your votes have the Activair smbol on them - this is a little radiowave icon, it sits between the teo lights at the top of the device.
Let us know when you have found out.

Emma,

Thanks for responding to my inquiry. I am starting to think that I do have the older version of the Activotes. The Activair symbol doesn't sound like something I remember seeing, but I will definitely verify and post a response to this page. I appreciate you taking an interest to help me figure this out. Yet another reason why the Planet rocks!!!!!!!!!!:D

Enjoy the rest of your day,
