View Full Version : Need to find replacement hardware

This spring a student tripped over the power cord to my Activboard and ripped it apart. I have been trying to find a replacement cord this summer, unsuccessfully. I have emailed Promethean to ask for assistance as to where I can purchase this type of part but have not received a response. If anyone knows how or where I can find this part or who else I could contact, I would be extremely grateful! I also realize that this may not be the correct board in which to seek this information. If you know of a more appropriate board, I would appreciate that information as well.

Did you talk to your reseller? Whenever we have a problem like this happen in our school, our reseller is usually our first line of defense...

Please first call the dealer/partner or otherwise get in touch with the tech support. They may can connect you to the right service ;) or help you to get a new power cord.

Thanks for the advice. I was trying to get the cord before school started, but no one is around right now to give me information about our reseller. I may just have to wait (which I hate because I LOVE using my Activboard everyday!). I sent a message to tech support and am still awaiting a response. Maybe I can find a phone number somewhere...

If the power cord was ripped, you may also have damage to the electronic assembly in addition to the power cord.
Replace the power cord first. If the board acts strange after that, then the electronic assembly box also have to be replaced.
