I'm having a problem with a specific website that I would like to link to a flipchart I'm working on. The link works fine but when I return to my flipchart, a page or two later Activstudio quits.
I have the latest build and drivers, other links to other pages work fine. It only seems to happen on this site.
Any ideas.
I'll attach the page so you can try it.+wave+

Greg,

I am on a PC, and I have to tell you I had absolutely no issue whatsoever with your flipchart. Looks cool, though! I love Egpyt, and was in the country last year, so let me know if you need any other pictures or anything...

Hi Greg, I'm on a Mac and it did the same thing you said yours did :( Good luck finding the answer.

Tried it on my MacBook...worked fine. Everything still running.

I tried playing with the flip. I am running 3.6 on a Macbook under 10.4.11.

I noticed several things: the first time I tried the link, I opened the AS browser, poked around on the site (very cool-or hot!) and then closed the browser and clicked through to a new page. Upon returning to the page with the link, AS crashed.

Then I reopened the page, clicked the link and while leaving the browser window open, I clicked through to several new blank pages. I returned to the beginning and had no problems until I closed the broswer. Then AS once again went down.

I tried again, opened the browser, clicked through to several pages and back, no problem, opened the browser, no problem, clicked back through those new pages, no problem, returned to the browser, clicked on the browser to "activate" it and AS crashed.

Hmmmmm…

Seems to be the integrated browser is causing the problem. (…penetrating glimpse into the obvious?)

Can you switch to a different browser and see what happens?

BTW: How does one change default browsers? I assumed the Preferences would yield the option, but I could not see it.

Good luck with the flip. It looks great!

I'm also running Activstudio 3.6.117 on OS 10.4.11. I didn't try your flipchart in the Activstudio browser, as I've had problems with it in the past. It worked fine when I opened the link in my default web browser, which is Safari right now. Sometimes I use Firefox too, depending on my mood.

To tell Activstudio not to use its own browser, go to Preferences - Linked File Hosting, and uncheck the Use Web Browser box.

Thank you for all the prompt replies and information[clap].
I will have to include a message about the browser in Page Notes before I upload the finished flipchart .

I just tried this flip using Safari (thanks for "how-to") and it works fine.

The integrated browser sure looks like the culprit.
