I just found a very cool Mac trick.:):) It's possible to create custom keyboard shortcuts in Activstudio! Needless to say, the first ones I did were to lock and unlock. It works perfectly, and it will be a huge timesaver.
Here's the link to the article: http://www.macworld.com/article/134160/2008/07/keyboardshortcuts.html?lsrc=mwweek (I subscribe to Macworld's weekly online newsletter, which is where this came from.)
Detailed instructions are in the article, but all you have to do is:
1. Go to Preferences - Keyboard & Mouse - Keyboard Shortcuts. Click on the + at the bottom of the page then click on the Application drop-down menu. Activstudio probably won't show up in the list, so go to the bottom and select Other, and then navigate to your Activstudio location.
2. Next, in the Menu Title box, type the name of the command you want a shortcut for, which in my case was Lock. Spell it exactly the same (not that that's so hard to do ,,,;-))
3. In the Keyboard Shortcut box, type apple-L.. (or whatever you want to use.)
4. If Activstudio is open, exit and restart it. You don't need to restart the computer. It should work.
5. I repeated the same steps to create an Unlock shortcut. I used shift-apple-L (since shift-apple-U is already used for Ungroup.)
I hope you enjoy it!:):)
