Trouble opening a Smart file in Activstudio

Hi Planet friends,

I was showing a group just how easily a Smart notebook file would open in AS 3.6. While preparing for this demonstration, I had opened several notebook files--worked like a charm every time until....

I tried to open the very first notebook file. We got the message that the file was converting. Then we saw the title bar at the top of what should have been the newly converted flipchart. That was all we ever saw. I tried several to convert the same file. No luck.

I tried to open another Smart file. That one converted just fine.

Any ideas?? The notebook file was 14MB. Would size of file make a difference?

Its more likely to be an object in the notebook thats causing a problem with opening.
Why don't you upload it & I'll see if I can see what it is!

Thank you for your offer to help.

I tried to upload the file, but the upload was denied because the file doesn't have a valid file extension.

Any other suggestions?

You may find that the file is just too big for the Forum, but one trick is to change the extension to something like .zip which is accepted by the site.
As long as the recipient knows that they need to change the extension back to the original extension, that may be a workaround..
