Hi All,
I have created a 'pyramid' on a flipchart page that has been cut into 5 different sections, what I would like to do is click/drag away the bottom part of the pyramid and make the rest of it collapse!
Does anybody have any idea how to do this in Studio (If its possible ) or is it something only possible in animation????
I have attached the file so you can see what I'm going on about :)
I do have some bizarre requests ;)
Thanks for your help!
Dave
P.S. I'm loving the new Planet look! [clap]

Rather than having the pyramid 'really' collapse...
Try creating an Action to 'bring to front' or 'show' an alternative image (giving the impression that the original pyramid has collapsed)
Someone did a great thing with traffic lights along these lines. Maybe someone can let you know the title of that flipchart?

That sounds like a good idea to me, I had never thought of that!
If anybody know the title of the flipchart that would be great!

I've had a go with your idea! I think its looks pretty good for a first attempt!
Woohoo!

I suppose you want to actually SEE them tumble? I cann't help you with that, but if showing the result is enough, you might make a tumbled arrangement, groupe it and layer it underneath the pyramid. Then define the darkblue piece to move up the hidden part.
I made a quick example

This might be slightly off topic, but have you seen an physics program called Phun?

It's a free physics program and would be great fun for the IWB. I've had a bit of a play, but don't remember much high school physics! You could certainly make the tumbling pyramid in that, and then link to the file from your flipchart? Or record it in flipchart recorder, and then click it to make it work.
n.b. tried recording it but my insert video is being a bit tempermental!

Another idea would be to collapse it in stages over several flipchart pages. Then set the countdown to turn a page after a few seconds - like the olf flicking books that showed movement!:D

I’ve remembered :-/
The flipchart was in the Classroom Management category, and called something like “Too Loud?”. I don’t know who submitted it. It used the Action “to front” with 3 images stacked on top of each other.
Analysing someone else’s flipchart to figure out how they did it is a great way to learn new Activ skills.
If you can’t find it I could post it to the Forum, but I would like to be able to acknowledge the author.
Another approach would be to use the "Position Incrementally" action, or another of the Actions that create movement.

There is a Classroom Management Resource Pack that you must be thinking of. It has some template pages that you are referring to:
It is located here for the US version:
http://www.prometheanplanet.com/server.php?show=ConResource.11650
And, Here for the UK Version:

Hope that helps!

I created this resource pack. What is the specific question?
