I'm working through the Level 1 Advanced Skills Course and am using a mac. I've been very successful throughout topics 1-4, but ran into trouble on Topic 5. The "match centers" option for containers doesn't work on the mac. I tried the directions on my PC and it worked fine. Is there a solution to this? Please Help!!!????
Hi Sarah,
I had a try on my Mac. I used a rectangle as a container and uppercase and lowercase letters as the objects to contain. I used Keywords, if the object contained the keyword Uppercase then the object stayed and if it didn't then the object returned to it's place.
I first set the container to Match centers and like your experience it didn't work. All objects regardless of having the key word or not were returned. I then used the Enclose Object option and this worked as it should. I guess you just need to make sure you use that option.

The trouble with 'match centers' is you have to be very precise when placing objects on each other as if you are slightly out it wont work.
To make this work you could try adding a grid to the page, enable snap to grid and in the restrictors options for each object ensure 'can snap' is checked and the 'snap point' has been set to center.
