We have two different half sets of activotes model no PRM-AV2-01 and PRM-AV3-01.
We are unable to register the set with AV3
We registered the AV2 models without any difficulty.
We attempted to register the AV3 and the AV2 on separate boards thinking that they weren't compatible but this didn't work either.
Ultimately we would like to combine the 2 half sets to make a full set. Is this possible? We are working in Activ Studio 3 and have all current firmware and drivers. Any suggestions for our plight?????

Hi Colleen,

I have just had a quick look at my demo kits old and new so I think I understand what you are asking. My old voting (non 2.4) has product code AV2. My new 2.4 voting has product code AV3. Old voting and new voting don't work together. The new voting AV3 has little radio wave icon between the two top buttons. The old doesn't.

The old voting registers to the computer but the new voting registers to a hub. My guess is that you haven't plugged the hub into your computer. This is a black usb type device. When you plug this into your computer and go to the registration pane it should look a bit different now and have the 2.4 voting pod.

There are some videos to help register the voting. These should have come with your 2.4 set.

Sorry, but you can't 'mix' the two sets of voting. Because they use different technologies to operate, they must be registered and used seperately.

The AV2 devices register through the Activboards 50, 64 and 78 or the 'egg-shapped' USB Activhub.

The AV3 devices register through the 'pendrive' style USB Activhub.
