After recently searching Promethean Planet's resorces I have realised that that there is a real gap in flipcharts on ACTIVexpression being up loaded so I thought I would start to add some.
I will be uplaoding one on Prime Numbers today 17th June 08, I would very much appriciate any comments on the flipchart if you use it in a classroom
Kind regards

Hi Heather,
I think it got lost in the Planet change over so I have just re-submitted it again.
The flipchart is called prime numbers - activexpression, when it apears I will send you the link.
Or you might find it on a search. I plan to put another 10 on expression during August.
Keep in touch

Hi Heather,
I have just posted two expression flipcharts onto the Planet, they are called
Square Numbers
Factors of Numbers
It might take a few days to go through and be checked, if you can't find them by next week let me know.
I plan to put at least another 8 up throughout August which will make 10.
I am trying to up load them in expression too, with question master linked to each question. However, it seems to be taking longer for these to up load. You can open the ones I have created in expression and use the wonder wheel, check with the page notes suggestions for which option to use although its quite obvious for most of them.
Kind regards

Hi all,
I have only just discovered this forum and the joys of Activexpression! I have been playing around with the activexpression for the last couple of days and am hoping to use them before the end of term, does anyone have some ideas of how to best use them?
Has anyone tried having the students write long answers to questions that ask you to explain something? If so was it worthwhile?

John, welcome to the forum! I have not used them for long text answers. But I think I remember that they can take up to 170 characters. But you may keep in mind how many students you have and how it will look when you view the answers. It could be fun or not. I am anxious to hear how you use it in a higher ed situation and how those students respond to the devices. :p

Hi John,
Great and welcome to this part of the forum.
As an x-maths teacher I never had the oppotunity of working with expression in the classroom. However I am planning to in my capacity with Promethean. Where are you based?
I will be submitting more expression flipcharts over the August holidays to keep an eye out.
I would use them within a lesson ad hock when the need arrives, or plan a sequence of pages within a flipchart to cover a variety of styles, ie not all MC but mix up types.
Either go for one topic as a revision style lesson or a mixture prior to say an exam.
Longer style responses take time and I would try and avoid with maybe less able who possibly have less attention span.
Keep in touch
regards
