I made a move showing the fantastical user defined button to make a border around previously created text boxes (see Feature Request thread and attached .mov) and came across this fyi. I couldn't uploade the AS3 video to the forum, the file was too big - actually about a 6 second move was 27mb. However, there was an easy solution - record in AS3 but when the movie opens in Quicktime Pro, from Quicktime Pro go to File>Export and export the movie to a .mov file. Quicktime's .mov format saves the same movie at only 1.8 mb.
p.s. if you use the AS3 recorder and you forgot to turn off record audio, and so have unintended background noise like Lost, with the movie open in Quicktime Pro, you can go to Window>Properties then select and delete the audio track.
