Copying and Pasting Text

I was trying to use the copy and paste text trick, where you select the color picker, hold down the Option, "pick" the text that you want to copy, select the fill tool, then holding the Option key, "fill" the text you want to change. In version 3.6 build 114 and 117, when I follow these steps, the text is changed to a default text but the color changes correctly. When you open up the text edit box, the font in the window says the name of the font that you wanted, but the image of the text is the default.... so it says it is one font, but it really is not. I have done this in design mode and presentation mode.

Any ideas?

Yup, happens to me too, I'm suspecting a bug :(
