Is there a way when using a magic eraser to "reveal" something....to have a sound play when it is revealed? Without clicking the mouse....to make it play when the eraser tool scrolls over the object?

Interesting idea! I wish it would, but as it is now, what I have noticed is that even actions wont work because the magnifyer becomes an object on top of actions.

Here is a quick suggestion I just thought of, so I hope it makes sense:
1. Set up all your revealing magic
2. Drag out our magic magnifyer
3. Create an action object (or drag out the sound from the Resource Library), and place it far away from what needs to be revealed.
4. When your students reveal something, then have them let you of the magnifyer, then click on the Reward Sound.

Try it out, and let me know what you think!

it's possible. But only when you release the magic eraser on top. so you can't do it while hovering above the revealed word or image

see the the attachment for a example.

How do you this:

First setup up the magic eraser and hide the things you want to hide. (You probaly already know how.)
Second, get a shape from the resources and size it a bit bigger then your magic eraser.
go to the properties, container. Set the rewarding signal.(don't have the english version of AS, so it could be saying something else)
by contains select: specific object. then select your magic eraser or the gum (is easier, because the gum is smaller then the magic eraser, therefore the shape could also be set smaller).
then place the object in front of the thing you are hiding. go to the appearance of the shape and turn of visibility of, or set the translucidity (or what else it says) to 255. it's also possible to send the shape to background, but this depends on your background. the above two ways are better in my opinion (although I have don this in the example)
know you can test if it works.in the example a let one of the shapes visible so you can play with it. the others are hidden.

hope you can use this.

Lennart,

Tip: check the activtips on Prometheanplanet. see Professional Development (CPD) -> activtips. there also available on Itunes. it helped me creating this example.
