I recently followed the tutorial about putting specific objects in containers on Activtips and wondered whether it was possible to allow several different objects on the page to be put into one container thus enabling teachers to construct vocabulary category exercises instread of simple matching one object to another. Thus a container could be marked say 'furniture' and only furniture words would be allowed in. I couldn't seem to be able to do this. Any help would be great

Yes you can, it's just a matter of setting the keywords in each object to "furniture" and setting the container to contain the keyword "furniture".
I attach a flipchart I did which allows shapes to be sorted according to certain properties. Hope it helps.

Craig is right that Keywords is the solution.
Have you been to Promethean Learning? Their Level 1 and Level 2 classes are awesome, and will help you learn and work through issues like these with containers.

Scott,
I think an ActivTip on Containers with Keywords (where you actually have to set the keyword) would be AWESOME!

Here is a flipchart I made to help teachers see how to construct containers with multiple objects. Be sure to check the page notes on the last page.

Kathy,
did you submit that one on Planet? I'm trying to find and gather all of the "how-to" flipcharts into a theme for June and want to make sure its included!

Is there a way to make the sound box disappear immediately after the reward sound?

Go into your Studio Settings > Linked FIle Hosting > and uncheck Show Sound Controller.
This should get rid of the Sound Controller box. If you have 3.0 loaded, you should get a little sound icon on the right side of your screen that you can easily click to stop the sound at anytime (without using the sound controller). I attached a picture of my side toolstrip and you will see the sound icon on the top!;)

You can make it never come up again (there will be a little icon in your toolstrip, but that's it!)!
Go to Studio Settings, then go to Linked File Hosting. In the right hand column, you will see "Show Sound Controller" and you can actually turn off the Sound Controller for good! Try it at home before you do it with the children to make sure you like it.
Enjoy!
