Today when I was working at my board my projector just turned off. The temp light came on for a minute and then the projector just turned itself off. It is a Dell 1200 MP. I took it apart and cleaned the filter, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. When I turn it on now, it comes on for about 3 to 5 seconds and then turns itself off. Does anyone know if I should replace the bulb, or what else could be wrong. I think the bulb only has about 700 hours on it. Thanks,

Could be a number of issues and the one you have tried would have been my first try too....

Sorry to hear about that. Like Margaret said, I would check with the Dell tech support team on that one.

It sounds like it could be the bulb, but normally you get a message before it goes out saying that the bulb needs to be replaced. Normally that messages is up for a few days if not longer before it goes out.

Let us know what the resolution is.
