Can someone share with me the most efficient way to convert a Word document, Excel or pdf to a flipchart?

SMART has something called a "Smart Notebook Print Capture" feature that can put any format quickly and easily into a notebook, page by page.

How can we do this without performing a "save as"?

Will it make each page of the document its own flipchart page?

Thank you so much!

There are several ways to put text onto a flipchart page although I'm not sure a whole page of text in any format should be incorporated into one flipchart page for reasons of legibility for students.

From any editable text document including web pages, you can simply copy and paste as much text as you need. Alternatively if you use the Arrange function (the A at the top right of the flipchart) you can arrange your flipchart page on one side of the screen, and drag text from the text file and drop it onto the flipchart page.

If the pdf isn't editable you'll have to use the camera tool and put the text in as an image. Likewise a spreadsheet will have to be captured as an image.

The alternatives to all of these options is to either insert a link to the file or use Desktop Annotate.

Unfortunately the forum isn't the place to give you a full training session on all of this but if you go to Prometheanlearning.com you can enrol on the free Foundation course which covers most of it.
