I am having a problem with active vtoes calculating the total overall scores. When we use active vtoes it will show me who got which one wrong but when I go to overall scores it says everyone got 100%. Would anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it. Thank you

Hello Norma,

Please, could you upload these flipcharts, for example with the results to test them ;)

Silly question, but are you selecting a correct answer for each question after the students vote?

Yes I am selecting the correct answer. I don't have the flipchart woththe results because verytime I use the flipchart i clear the results because I will beusingit with another class. I tach Spanish and see several classes learning the same thing. Next time I will save the flipchart and post it. Thank you for helping. It probably wont be unti lonext week sometime when I use the flipchart again. I can't wait to see what you can see in looking at what is happening. Thank you for your patuence.

I finally have the results withthe activvotes. This is a pretty large flipchart since I teach all four seasons so I made a copy and deleted most of the pages but on page 19 are the results to the session I did today and as you can tell everyone has a 100 and when during the lesson not everyone got the correct answer. Individually it will tell me but not the overall score. it won't calculate them. Thank you for being patient. If you have trouble finding the results please let me know. I really would like to figure out why this is happening. Thank you.

Hi,

I had a look at your flipchart. The only results I could find were on page 19, but I think deleting pages might have affected it, as it could only find the results for that one page and there weren't any wrong answers! Can you try uploading the full flipchart, if it will let you, as it will help to see what's gone wrong. +wave+

By the way, great flipchart! Can I use it for our Year 6 Spanish lessons?? [clap]

That is the only page where I use the activevotes. I tried to upload the entire flipchart but it said it was too big. It encompasses all four seasons. Could it be the the reason they are all 100 is becuase I use the same page for the entire voting session? The session includes the page where there are pictures one on top of the other and they just go to the back and students vote on each picture. Hope that makes sense. I would love to share my flipchart but for some reason I can't upload it. what else could i do? Thanks

I think that is the reason. Each page should have a separate vote for the calculations to work correctly.

Lisa's right.
If you do multiple votes on the same page then it will only show the results from the last vote you did.

If you want to do mulitple votes on one page but keep all of the results change your Activote settings so that results are always pasted onto a new page. Then you can view summery and it should be correct.

Activote settings are found in your menu under Studio Settings.

Janice's suggestion is one great way to do this, but I am not 100% sure that is exactly what you want, since you want all the scores to tally together, and I am not sure voting from the same page will "store" the results, if you know what I mean.

One thing I have done if I want to have my kids vote on the same page at different times is simply to duplicate the page exactly how it is, so that it looks exactly the same, but different voting results can be logged...

Will this work for you?

Ben, thank you so much for that idea, I've been trying to figure out a way to do that. I was trying to make it complicated but your idea is so simple and easy to do.
Thanks! [clap]

Glad to help out... especially with a simple solution like this one! As mama always used to say, "Keep it simple, you neaderthal!" (NOTE: This direct quotation from my mother may/may not only apply to me!)

Oh now I see. That's too bad. I wish it could calculate all of the vote scores from one page becausethe other way I have to create a whole bunch a pages just to do a quick assessment. I wonder if this is something that can be accomplished some day? Just a thought.
