After setting an object to become visible with a click, is there a way to make invisible again? Other than resetting the page, I was wondering because I'd like to have multiple objects invisible on the same page.

do you mean so you can display them one at a time or altogether? If it is one at a time then you could just use the undo tool? But if you wanted to display them one at a time and then altogether at the end you would need to have action objects for each of them to use 'show' and 'hide' respectively.

You could apply an action on that object to hide itself. Or have several buttons on the same page. Some to hide an object and another to show it.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to have multiple actions on the same object (while you can have multiple objects that "act" on the same object). I would love to have a "toggle action" that would hide something if it is showing and show it if it is hiding, but we don't have that yet as far as I know.

You can use the stretch action to simulate clicking on and off. Instructions for doing this are on the page notes of the attached flipchart. :)

You can also use layers to hide and show multiple objects.

Attached is an example of how it would look.

Interresting.
I'm not sure though I understand how it works. How can a parameter 1 make the object allmost disappear, when usually 40 equals 1 cm? Also, I would assume the object to get out of shape when stretched? I don't get it.

This is awesome!!
Thanks. It took me a bit of work to comprehend the directions, but not I got it. The box is just the area where you can click to have the image reappear. This technique should be widely distributed.

Using parameters of 1 makes the object extremely small, so that it looks as if it disappears. You can then select what was underneath the object. The second set of parameters match the size of the original object! :)

Also, if you haven't seen this yet, there is a Resource Pack full of "things" that you can use to cover other things!

Hiding Things Resource Pack

US Planet
http://www.prometheanplanet.com/us/server/show/ConResource.13368

UK Planet
http://www.prometheanplanet.com/uk/server/show/ConResource.13441

This resource pack contains many objects that you may want to use to "hide" other things in your flipchart. They have been set with the action "hide object" so that when the students click on the object, the object will disappear, revealing what is underneath.
They are also set to be on the “top” layer so you can easily put new text or graphics behind them on the middle layer!
In addition to providing the objects themselves, you will find that they are organized in theme-related folders with backgrounds and even completed sample pages that use these objects.
Important: Remember to turn off actions if you want to move the objects around or edit their properties. (Or go in Design Mode!)
The "themes" in this resource pack include:

Bushes in the Yard
Cabinets in Room
Castle with Three Doors
Front Doors
Game Show Doors
Houses on Street
Misc Objects to Hide
Photo Album
Pyramid Game
Question Text Boxes
Shiny Yellow Stars
Stage Curtains
Treasure Chest
Once you master hiding, showing and moving layers, these resources may given you some additional ideas!

One other way to do it is to use Layers.

Click the top object to have it move to the back layer behind a box. Then you can see the middle layer object. Then set the action so when you click the middle layer object it brings back the first object to the top layer.

Scott is absolutely right!

This thread has some wonderful ideas about how to use layers, and there are a lot examples, including one or two that do exactly what Scott mentioned! Check out the "Farmer" flipchart by Srchlc, Holli, as is it one of the best examples of layering I have seen!
