I am having trouble importing a flash video into a flipchart. Can this be done? Or is there a file format problem?
Hi Ben,
Have a look here: http://www.prometheanplanet.com/common/html/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=5683&highlight=video
I used the 'Search' facility to find this.+wave+

Try inserting the flash file as a video placeholder. I always check start automatically so it begins as soon as I flip to that page in my flipchart.
Hi kathy,
What Ben is talking about is not flash files ( with .swf extension) but Flash Video files with ( .FLV extension)
Currently .flv files cannot be embedded in AS. All you can do now is make a link the the .flv video file and then play the .flv video file with a free FLV player.

Saha, why wouldn't you convert the FLV into a file that will 'sit' in ACTIV then you can dispense with the 'link...play in FLV player' messiness? This allows clips to be played within a flp.
Dug,
When I download a FLV from youtube or any other place and I convert it to another format, the file size increases exponentially. Now if I embed that in my flipchart the flipchart file becomes bulky .
Still waiting for the AS version that will handle FLV files natively.
Good point, Saha.
Yes, I'm waiting too.
