activote problem

Hi
When I try to register devices it looks like they are registering. When I do the test, I get this message.

One or more devices remain undetected. Do you wish to remove these devices?

If i don't do the test then the devices aren't there when i go to sessions.
Has anyone had this problem before. I have been going through tech support for about a week to no avail yet. Hopefully someone has had this problem in the past and has a quick fix.

All I can suggest is that they are not being registered...keep a very close eye on the devices as they register to make sure you haven't missed one. I assume you are doing that, actually.

Other than that, maybe the batteries are down in one handset, or something?

When you do the test is it the same devices that won't test, what does the device flash when you press it. Are you pressing the letter buttons & not the register button?

After registering do you get the drop down list on the anonymous vote session screen or is that drop down list empty?

Are you using 2.4 or older votes? (2.4 have a little flame between the red & green buttons at the top)

What version of studio are you using?

I have the older votes not the 2.4 ones. I have activstudio 3.5 and driver 4.12. I also have firmware 3.66. The drop down button for anoy. mode is empty. They all show up when I register them. When i get out of the device mode and go to session mode, they have disappeared. I have used these same votes on another computer and they work fine.

Very interesting problem.
have you called tech support?
If you are on WinXP, maybe you can try to do a repair of Activstudio?
Speculation here ...but maybe the Regdev.exe file got corrupted.
You may also try to find your current Regdev.exe file and make a backup of that. Then copy the regdev.exe file from another computer where things are working fine.
See if this works.
