I was wondering if you know how to add an
image to a flipchart that when moved to a certain position, bounces back to
its original placement....for example, I have a picture of a dog and the
student has to find the word "dog" on the page and drag it to the
picture....if the student accidentally picks the word "cat" and drags it to
the dog, then it would automatically bounce back showing the student that
he/she picked the wrong answer....I know it has something to do with
clicking on the image and then properties but not sure what to enter in all
the fields.....any help?

Those are called "containers." There should be plenty of threads about this topic. Just click on the search button and try "container." If you don't find what you're looking for, just holler but I'm sure there is plenty of advice on this.

I am attaching a flipchart with the instructions and the objects snapping back.
It has to do with containing the objects.

If you go to ACTIVtips here: http://www.prometheanplanet.com/us/server/show/nav.1252

Scroll down to see the short clip on how to make your containers!

Containers can be a bit tricky, but they are wonderful. Don't give up as you try them, they are well worth the effort and immediate feedback they give students. I use them a lot in my flipcharts. Feel free to contact me if you need any extra help, would be glad to help out.

right I'm being lazy & giving instructions instead of doing it myself!!!

Your container objects are the 2 rectangles
you have the reward sound set correctly
you should have them set to contain keywords
then the contain object option will go (which is set incorrectly as itself, this should be a different object that you want containing)
if you pick keywords then you'll get the option to add which keywords will cause the object to contain
the contain rule is fine

right, the containees
these only need return if not contained set in the container properties
in the identification set the keyword so that it will contain within the correct container

hope this helps..

Hi lemmop6971,

As someone said containers can be tricky, but easy once you follow some basic rules.
here were the issues with your flipchart and hence the containers were not working as it should.

(1)The container must be an object and not text or annotation. The containee can be an object, text or annotation

(2) It is best to have the container at a lower layer and have the containee at the upper layer

(3) The keyword for the container should be in the container/keyword section

(4) The keyword for the containee should be in the identification section of the object

(5) If you use "enclose object" condition, then make sure that the container is bigger and can enclose the containees

(6) When using keywords for containers avoid using a dash ( eg use non examples instead of non-examples)

I converted two of your words "before" and "sequence" to objects by using the camera snapshot and assigning the correct keyword in the "identification" section of the object. You dont really need to do it, you can just keep all containee as text or annotations.
Just make sure they can be enclosed by the container and make sure that the container objects are behind the containees

I have attached it as an example for you.
Hope this help +wave+

I think you can contain text objects.

See page 15 of this flipchart.

Hmm. Try again.

It's an ActivInspire flipchart so if you don't have that yet, you won't be able to open it.

Yes Lisa you are right.
A container must be an object.
A containee can be an object, text or annotation.
The key mistake many people make is not having the container objects behind the containee.
