I have two teachers who have had a problem w/ the flame in the upper corner flashing blue. The boards have been working fine for the past year +. They are not able to calibrate or use their boards. Can anyone help me fix this?

Have you tried switching them off at the wall, waiting and then swithcing the back on again? This resets the board and often resolves problems of this type.

The flashing blue flame means that the board is in Bluetooth search mode. If it is a solid blue, then it means that it is in Bluetooth mode.

Lara is right that the best way to solve this is to power off and power up the board. But when you turn it back on, try having the board hooked up to the computer via USB.

I would also make sure that your computer's driver is up to date.

To get in/out of bluetooth mode, you right click and hold the click while hovering over the flame. Somebody may have gone to calibrate and entered bluetooth mode instead.

This is great inforamtion! We had this occur today right before a presentation for our staff. We reinstalled drivers and that worked. Now we know that it is in the bluetooth mode. Thanks! [clap]

 I might be really missing something here, but in the Mac version what are these "drivers" we're updating? I thought it was PC that did drivers.

There are drivers on the Mac side. In very simple terms, the driver is a small program that allows the computer to provide information to the board. It is on the install CD.
To make sure you have the latest driver go to:
http://www.prometheanworld.com/us/server/show/nav.2290

When you download and install, it will upgrade whatever driver you have on your computer.

On thing to note about the driver, unless you are having a tech problem there is no need to upgrade. So long as things are running smoothly, even if a new driver is released, there is no need to upgrade unless you are having issues.
