I downloaded AS3 ages ago and have only really just got around to playing with it - I still have AS2 on the computer and I am pretty proficient on it.

In AS3 when I go into shared resources and look in shapes etc there is nothing there - is this a dodgy downlaod or somethng else I need to be aware of?

You need to download the resources separately as resource packs.

Rather than point you in the right direction, can you try and find it and feedback your experience... This may be helpful!! Well for us :eek::rolleyes:;)+wave+[clap]

I have found several resource packs and downloaded them - not found any 'normal' stuff like shapes though!

however, I cannot get the folders for some of them to open it jsut keeps asking me to reindex - I have done and closed down and reopened AS3 and even rebooted computer.

I can get stuff out of shared collections but cna;t get into things like action shape objects

I thjink you need to install the full Resource Library to get all those shared resources. Resource Packs are supplementary resources that you can select to suit your requirements.

Easier still, just copy your resource folders from Shared documents/activstudio 2/ to your Shared documents/activstudio 3 folder [clap]

It's all very well saying it's easy but then not telling me how!

Not seen you around on MSN for a long time - have your kids finally evicted you?

Hi Lev!
I haven't got it installed on this new PC, I found I spent too much time on it!
Use Windows Explorer, go to those folders, highlight them and click copy.
Go to the Activstudio 3 folder and click paste.
Your network guy should be able to show you if you can't do it
