Creating timed events, actions

Hello,

I am a trying to convert the functionality of a powerpoint presentation into an activ flipchart.

Can I give an object a timed action, like you can in powerpoint? For example, I would like a white box to 'appear' after 30 seconds to cover a picture.

Is this kind of function supported?

Ben,

The only actions that can be "timed" as you would want are to turn pages and the other things from the drop down menu in the count-up/count-down timer.

Hi, using the countdown timer to turn to the next page is probably the easiest option. If you want to stay on the same page the attached flipchart may help. :)

Only one problem with the flipchart you sent that I can see. Because I did not have the reset page option set on my timer, and since you set the action with a parameter, I couldn't edit my options to do this. Easy fixes for these, but just wanted to let others know if it didn't work the way it was supposed to on their computer, what they could do.

1. Set the options on your timer, run it, and then it will (hopefully) work when they run the page.

2. Go into actions, and remove the 30 from the parameter. That way, when you click on the action item "timer," the controls will open, and you can tell it to reset the page.

PS: In my other post, I forgot to mention the possible actions that you have in the timer drop down, and they are:

turn to next page
turn to previous page
reset page
start reveal tool

I did not have the reset page option set on my timer
:confused: Sorry if I didn't make the page notes clear enough. The countdown timer can be set to perform a page reset before clicking anything.
