We have a group of teachers with brand new boards and they are saying that they have to calibrate EVERY TIME they hook up their macbooks in the morning.
Others of us with macbooks and activboards rarely have to calibrate.
Is there some sort of preference that the new board teachers don't have set on their macbooks?
Has this happened to anyone else-- do YOU have to calibrate every day??
Thanks for your help!
Heather
The only time I've come across this has been in relatively 'flimsy' buildings in which floors/walls tend to 'wobble' a bit and where the board/projector are separate - ie not AB+2.
It could be worse, they could have had Smartboards installed and need to 'reorient' four times per day!

Heather,
Make sure they all have the latest driver on their computer.

On PC's that are networked, the Administrator may have locked the machines down so that calibration settings are not being saved.
The secret is to get your network administrator to login as him/herself with "save" privileges and then calibrate. The settings are then saved until something moves.
Or better still get the admin to allow save to the folder where calibration settings are stored. I don't know where this is myself, but someone should know!

On a Mac the calibration settings are stored in:
/library/preferences/com.prometheanworld.activsupport.plist
Ensure that your admin has given you 'write' access to this. You can also try repairing your disk permissions, the OS might not be applying the correct permissions to this file:

After that then as Dug said, it could be that your projector is moving slightly each day, are you certain it isn't that? Other than that, a call to tech support is your best option.
