Adding images into resource library

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered somewhere. I went through 10 pages before deciding to just ask it.

I have in the past added clipart from Word into my flipcharts and then from the flipchart page into my resource library (with drag and drop). Suddenly it doesn't work anymore. I also right clicked the image and "add to library" is grayed out. Has this been disable in 3.5 or 3.6 (I upgradde recently) or is it something else? I would assume it was just me but I have been able to do it so many times before. I'm just frustrated.:(

Hi Heather,

I just tried adding a word art object to the resource library. I was able to drag it from the flipchart into "my images" file. I had to name it. The Add to library was grayed out, but I was able to add it to the library with the drag and drop method. Are you able to do that? I am using 3.6 version of Activstudio.

Hi heather

The key is to drag and drop using the Hand Mover pick-up box. If you just drag and drop it wont work!

OK - now for my next stupid question. How do I get the hand mover pick up box? I have tried everything that I know to do.

When you click on an object, you should see it has several little icons around it.

I made a little diagram for you. (This is probably in the help files but... anyway!)

Yes, I did find a great explanation of this in the help files.

Try going to the Index, Section M, Marquee Select Tool.

Or...even cooler, try "control" clicking on the marquee select tool (the arrow!) and it will take you straight there!
