I have searched the forums and did not find an answer to this particular problem. So far, I have the board and computer paired (it is OS 10.4.4), and the board is solid blue. The computer, however, says there is no connection, but it looks like it "sees" the board. There was an instance where the connecion said "yes" on the computer, but it went away after a few seconds (the computer is only about 10' away). Any ideas?

There is no USB connected to the board or computer, and the board and computer have been rebooted a couple of times. This is with the latest version of the software, and also the most up to date drivers were downloaded today from prometheanworld. This board and computer combo has worked previously when connected through USB.

Thanks!

I think this an issue for tech support. You can submit your query here http://www.prometheankb.com/

I've had this problem, too. I just got my ACTIVboard last week, but I've been working with it practically non-stop ( :) ). What I've found is that the board and computer need to be re-activated every day. I go to System Preferences, click the ACTIVboard icon, select proACTIV, then the Activate button. They then sync.

I've been fooling around with the blue button on the board to see if that's necessary to activate the Bluetooth connection, and I'm not sure what the answer is. If I hold the ACTIVpen over the button with the barrel button depressed, the blue button flashes blue and the activation occurs. I don't know if it would activate without this last procedure.

Hi all,

I am lost. I have been told by the Aussie agents that there in no blue tooth available between the ActivBoard and the Mac (or windoze box).

Can you guys please confirm that you are using blue tooth as opposed to a serial or usb connection?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks in advance

Andrew :)

Hi Andrew,
Bluetooth connectivity is not a standard option for Activboards outside the USA, so it is unlikely you will have Bluetooth built in. Bluetooth enabled boards have the Bluetooth symbol in the top left corner.
