One of our teachers has just started to explore AS2 and transfer her original AS1 stuff into the correct places in AS2 but has run into trouble with transferring annotations she had previously created into My Annotations. Files she has transferred are pre-grouped with the file extension .ano but these are not available in through AS2. It is clear that the Shared Annotations are now in a different file format, lodged in 'proper files' and that this is the root of her troubles. Is there any way to crack open the .ano files and extract the 'goodies'. Or can anyone recommend a different way round this problem?
Thanks

Try this - it worked when I did it. Open a new AS1 flipchart. Place all the annotations onto as many pages as are required. Save the flipchart. Now open this flipchart in AS2. Open the resource library and the "My Annotations" section, then drag each annotation separately into your annotation library - the pale blue section. As you drag across the pale blue section, the "pick up object" symbol should change to a white right angled downward pointing arrow with four white squares underneath it. When you release, your annotation should appear in your library.
Hope this helps.

Sharon,
Many thanks for that - we'll give it a go.
