Could anyone help me with this problem? I have given the children the flipchart viewer on cds with some of our own flipcharts . When they view them on their computers in some cases the text is all bunched together. It is not happening to everyone and the charts view fine on the board and on my lap top. I have tried changing the screen resolution but it does not help. I cant figure whats wrong. Thanks????

Hi eirebear, and welcome to the forum.
One possible explanation for this situation is that the flipchart has been created on one macine (using a certain font) and then, when it is viewed on another machine, the fonts are garbled because the original font doesn't exist on the other computer (so the software defaults to one that doesn't 'fit').
A solution would be to only create flps that use certain 'universal' fonts (eg Comic Sans).

Of course, I could be totally off beam here.

It may also be due to screen resolution. If you create a flipchart on a wider screen then the computer it's read on, then the text may be squashed. The standard flipchart size for projection on the board is 1024 x 768. Your pupils may have older monitors that are 800 x 600.
