Not too long ago I had a chance to aid in some training for the Activboards in our school district by doing a portion of the training myself. Having an art background I tend to approach the use of the Activboards slightly different from the norm so I decided to put this file on the web for others.

This is really a small collection of ideas and some of the better pages which I use in my classroom. I added some brief notes on each page to give you an idea what I discussed in the training.

Enjoy.

Hi Jay

I can tell you've got an art background. The first page really grabbed my attention. Your suggestions for font colours is great and the layout of each page is so clear. Thank you for posting it.

Do you know that you can change the page background colour either by page properties or set a default colour through Activstudio's Settings?

Di you also know that when you set a page for Spotlight or Reveal Tool to come on automatically, you can set the Tools to Off on the following page?

Great stuff.[clap][clap]

Hi Jay,

Thank you so much for sharing your flipchart! I like the way you have shown what you can do with the software in an engaging, eye catching way! Some fantastic ideas that could be used in a variety of ways with a variety of subjects at any stage. Excellent!

Hi - I've just got into this site. I've been trying to get the reveal tool to come on automatically but can't find out how. David mentions it. Can you advise? Many thanks.

Hi Jane
Welcome to the forum.

to get the Reveal Tool to come on automatically, double click on the page to get the Page Properties Box; in the left window choose Tools; in the drop down menu choose the appropriate option. It's good idea to go to the following and preceding page and set the Tools to off in the same way or the Reveal Tool will stay on until you switch it off on the Toolbox.

flipchart looks good in thumbnails but when I view page backgrounds are black!
this has also happened recently when I have opened other peoples flipchart pages I have previously saved into my personal resources. Any suggestions?

Any chance your Reveal tool is on, hiding all of the text?
