New Activity icon with Activstudio 3.5

I just downloaded the new 3.5 version. When my dashboard came up there was a new icon called Acivity. When I clicked on it there appears to be three games that you can create. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to use the games logically, find directions on how to use them, or find examples of how others have used the games. Does anyone else have any suggestions or completed acitivities? Thanks

The 3 game activities are not new to Activstudio. They have been around since version 2.5.

I highly recommend the Blockbuster game. It is a great way to engage your students during the last 5-10 mins of class as review. They will get into it and will be sometimes overly competitive to win and will look over their notes furiously to win.

If you want the full blown version of these games for use on Activboard, then I highly recommend that you purchase them from Robert Powell Publications.

The full blown version enables you to embed pictures and sounds as questions in Blockbuster, Dominoes, games.

My favourite is Word Dominoes. Set up words on the dominoes and the idea is the students don't have to match exact words. They match associated words e.g. 'velocity' with 'erosion' and then justify their choice. Great for thinking skills.

The way to get started with these 3 Activitys (deliberate misspelling:rolleyes:) is to click on the Activity icon on the Dashboard or go to the menu choose Activextras>Activity Wizard.
