Spotlight snapshots cropped at the bottom

Hi, I was trying to use the circular spotlight tool to take snapshots of an image of coins so that I could add their images to the library.

For some weird reason, it keeps cropping the bottom off of what should be circular images.

When I tried taking a snapshot of the background on my desktop it worked perfectly.

Any ideas?

This odd. You don't mention what software version you are using. It may well be a bug. This is worth reporting to technical support.
