I am going to attempt using a new laptop for a couple very important presentations this week - my old one is completely shot. It is a widescreen though, and I have been forewarned that this could cause some struggles with adjusting the projector/computer settings. Any suggestions before I fight with my computer for a couple hours tonight and tomorrow? It is a Hewlitt Packard PC...
Thank you!!

If you're projecting on to an Activboard, when you create flipcharts, create them in 1024 x 768 so they fit the board. Otherwise you'll have scrollbars to deal with.

Thank you, David!
Sonny Magana just sent me this tip also:
The new widescreen laptops are the wave of the future as more projection devices move from a 4:3 (1024 x 768 pixels) to a 16:9 (1280 x 800 pixels) aspect ratio (the length to width ratio). My laptop was not set properly to automatically adjust to the native aspect ratio of the normal range of projectors, so the projected image was either distorted, too small, too large, stretched or just wrong.
Here is what I did to correct the settings on a Dell Latitude D620 laptop:
Right Click anywhere on your Desktop
Display Properties
Settings
Advanced
Graphics Media Accelerator Driver
Graphics Properties
Display Settings
Display Expansion
Select “Maintain Aspect Ratio”
Your laptop should automatically have this configuration selected, but for some reason my laptop was set incorrectly.
I hope this helps!
All the best,
Sonny :D
Thank you for all the help!!! I will be playing with it this afternoon
