Activstudio 3 for Vista?

Hi all,

I have Activstudio 3 v3.0.73 but it wont install onto Vista.

Any help appreciated.

Go to the Promethean website -- support and download the latest version. You will need your software serial number from a previous version to do this.

I hope this helps. Once you have version 3 installed, then you can download updates through the dashboard support tab.

Thanks Kathy. Downloaded and works fine.
This version seems to provide a cut down version of the shared resources. I.e., no backgrounds, grids, shapes, lines, sounds activities. Is this because it is a web download and I need to wait for the CD rommfor th full install?

When you downloaded 3.0.73 there should have been some resource packs as part of the download. You should be able to install them with the new version 3.5. I did my 3.5 install as an update, so I'm not sure how the resources are distributed in that download.

The web download does include the full resource set. Make sure you've downloaded them all and installed them according to the instructions provided on the download page. There's also a document on the page that advises you specifically how to install the resource packs.

Kathy - when you update your existing V3, it just updates the application itself, not the resources. They don't require updating like the application does. If anything was to change, we'd use resouce packs on Promethean Planet to update you all.
