Pen Gibberish

Good morning everyone, one of the boards at my school is having an issue. When using the pen to write, it seems that is isn't calibrated (although it is) and when writing no letters can be formed. All that comes up are scribbles. I thought I saw a thread on this, but can find it. Any ideas?

I've had something similar once before, turned out I had the handwriting recognition on and it was set to shapes. That led to a few minutes swearing before I spotted it.

"Images Disappear while Annotating" from 2 weeks ago is the only thread that might apply to your situation and it is on this forum... but I agree that you should make sure you have your hand writing recognition set on letters - IF YOU ARE USING IT. If you are not using the recognition tool and this is still happening, I'd read the thread mentioned above. It just may help, but no guarantees.

Try turning the board off and on at the powerpoint. Then go to the activcontrol icon in the notification area (bottom right of the screen) and right-click. Choose settings and disconnect and then connect.

Worked for me in a similar situation.

I suspect a name badge with a magnetic clasp of sending it crazy. Is there anyone at Promethean who can confirm or deny the possibility?
