Sorry don't know what a carat symbol would look like but you could do a search of the Resource Library or even Wikimedia Commons for a copyright free symbol and save it to My Resource Library.

This works in Activstudio, and any(?) program...

On your keyboard, press Alt and, at the same time, 0136 on the number pad.

I think that's a carat symbol? ˆ
