Pen annotations not showing up

Help! Here's a new scenerio we need help with.

Pen was working great with the following:

Activstudio version 2
AND dual monitors (extended desktop mode)Now w/ Activstudio 3.5 and driver 4.1.8.126 the pen does not work correctly. We are also using extended desktop on these boards. Here's what happens:

Write your name with the pen. The only thing you see is the first dot (pixel) and that's it. If you undo and then redo, you can then see your name. So, the word is there...it's just not showing up.

Funny thing is, you can do the same with the highlighter and it works just fine.

Any ideas? Is this a bug or an extended desktop issue?

I had this exact problem a few weeks back with several of my schools. I did report it to Tech Support and it was a topic (previously) on the forum. The suggestion that worked for me was to change the Studio Settings. We went from high quality pen settings and image/object settings to a lower quality. This made the boards I was using stop freezing. I did notice the difference in the quality of the lines, but only because I zoomed in and noticed more jagged lines since the pixel quality was poorer. However, this did solve the problem.

It's not a perfect solution, but it worked for me and my teachers!! :D

P.S. Hope the weather is great in Oregon. It's beautiful in Fabulous Las Vegas!!:p

Here's another solution that a tech person did to fix the problem:

I downloaded the latest Intel video driver from the Dell website and that fixed the problem!
