I have reached my frustration point and am turning to all of you for help. I am trying to create a flipchart on circumference. When students rotate a circle along a straight line, they will be able to find the circumference of the circle. The problem is that I cannot figure out how to have a circle rotate along a path. I have attached the flipchart page for anyone who can make it happen, IF it can happen. Or am I asking for too many actions on one object?:(

Hi Heather,

I have put together a very 'clunky' flipchart that sort of does what you want.

I think that this is really suited to a 'hands on' activity.

Thanks Peter,

It is a "hands on" activity for the class, but I just wanted a way to demonstrate how to do it as the kids have difficulty with the whole rolling concept. Thanks again!

Hi, I've attached a flipchart recording using Peter's flipchart. It looks blank when you open it but will appear & move when you play the flipchart recorder!

I don't think you can edit recordings easily, so I moved the controls etc off the screen before recording. :)

I love this {} help from Australia to the US and then from Sheelagh adding to the thread. Where are you from Sheelagh? Ireland? It would be nice if everybody updated their user profile to show their location :-/

I like it Sheelagh, when I use the slide bar to move through the frames it almost looks like it is rolling.

well done [clap][clap]

Thanks Sheelagh! You're addition to Peter's is very helpful. Moving the slider does make it look like it's rolling. It will help me make my point with the class even more effective.[clap]

The attached flipchart isn't quite what you want, but may help to illustrate the concept.

Cheers
