problem with driver losing connection

hi guys,

i'm having a problem here whereby certain pcs seem to keep losing their connection with the board, resulting in the driver icon in the system tray having a red X through it. is there something specific in terms of maintenance that can be done to prevent this happening?

Not sure if this is an issue now, but I found it to be a long time ago. I found that if Ii always used the same USB port, this wouldn't happen but if I used different USB ports, it would.

So I always connected to the Activboard using the SAME USB port always.

COULD this be your case?

It shouldn't be a problem now as the driver is now Microsoft approved and automatically sets up all USB ports.

Dave, have you got old drivers on these machines? Although it really sounds like a call to Tech Support is needed.

Dave are your boards connected through COM port by any chance?
