4th October is National Poetry Day
To celebrate this event ictopus is making available a teaching utility called Poem Maker. Poem Maker is a program that chooses words randomly from lists and arranges them in phrases. The words in the lists may be created and edited by users and the phrase structure or word pattern may also be edited. Poem Maker encourages children to research words and think about parts of speech. It produces a printable end product, which is interesting and which we will call a ‘poem’. Whether or not this really is poetry is open to debate.
