I was wondering if any of you have downloaded and tried out the new Action objects Resource Pack.

Did you see the flipchart that comes with it?

Lisa

See: http://www.Prometheanplanet.com/us/server/show/ConResource.11342

This resource pack contains over 90 “action objects” that you can use to make your flipcharts easier to use and more interactive for you and your students. Action objects are images/icons that perform an specific action when you click on them such as “go to next page,” “switch to pen tool,” and “show page notes.” The resource pack is organized into several folders including: “Drawing tools” (including erasers), “Icons by theme” (including shiny, blue and yellow themed icons), “Special tools” (like compass, protractor, dice), “Page Notes” (icons that will show your page notes) and “To Make Yourself” (fun icons that you can program yourself.) Additionally, we have provided a flipchart called “Action Objects.flp” that you can open and explore, that will show many of these action objects” in action” and explain how to make and edit them.
The Action Objects resource pack will install in: Shared Collections/Lesson Building Tools/Action Objects.

Hi Lisa,
I have downloaded it and love it. Thank you for including the flipchart as there were a few objects I was unsure of. I know these objects will be included in some of my upcoming flipcharts. Thanks so much for all your work on creating these great resource packs. :)

Hi Lisa,
I love this respource and have used quite a few of them already[clap] but I don't seem to be able to find the action objects flip!! Would it have downloaded with the resource pack - and if so where would it have gone?

Not sure why. I haven't tested the "Collection" in Activprimary, but this is what the folder looks like on my Mac. See attachment.

I'll also attach the flipchart itself. (Not sure if the flipchart is the "latest" one as Pete may have made some changes to it before it was posted, but you can see the idea.)

Hi Caryn

The flp loads into the Action Objects folder. It appears in the library as an image if you drag this onto the page it becomes a link to the flp. When you click on it, the open flip will close and the action object flp will open.

Cool! I LOVE action objects! [clap][clap][clap]

They make the flipcharts much easier to use. My favorite ones are the hide/show, I think.

Also the page notes and voting icons!

Lisa, I have am taking the Level 2 class which is awesome!! and for week 3, it is on presentation skills. I used so many of them in my flipchart. It made the ease of teaching the lesson so smooth and I think that as I upload flipchart to the "planet" I will make sure that they are included on the pages. They are so helpful in math. Great job![clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap]

I have recently started using V3 to create flipcharts after getting more comfortable on V2 for a few months.
The new Action Object Resource pack is a blessing because it makes a lot of the tricks easier to do. The students areenjoying the difference also. Thanks for making it available![clap]

Does anyone have equivalent icons (see image) for Actions to do with the Reveal Tool, and Spotlight Tool?
Maybe I have missed something, but I can't see those in that Resource Pack - anything I create just doesn't cut the mustard when compared with those great graphics!
Thanks in advance [clap]

Have you checked out Inspire (it's fantastic)? There are a range of drag and drop icons with the actions assigned including one for the reveal tool; I've requested others in the Inspire Edition Feedback forum.

When I click on the link, I get a Page Not Found error message. What should I try next?

Cheers

Try this link instead!

http://www.Prometheanplanet.com/server.php?show=ConResource.11342

When Planet was re-organized last summer, some of the "links" in older forum topics won't work as there were "us" or "uk" parts of the path. These are no longer used so that is why the path broke.

so if an old link does, work you can delete that section of the url and it "should" work.
