Can someone please let me know how to change the interactive number line so that as you move the box from one number to the next, you get decimal values? I've seen this but don't know how to modify the page.

Thank you!

Sorry Dawn I don't know the answer to your question but I would like to add one of my own to this thread:eek:
Is it possible to change the interactive number line to a 1 - 20 one:confused:

Not sure if this is helpful, but I think the resource library has a number of pre-done number lines with various options. But I don't think they are interactive (on their own.)

In the US resource library, check under

Shared_Images/Math/Number lines

I saw 12 of them there.

There are some interactive ones too, I found these in Gadgets and Widgets - Educational widgets. See attached flipchart to see the difference. You could also try the the one that comes as part of the ITP section, if you have access to that. A simple 20 number line is on page 2 of the attached.

The Interactive Teaching Program (ITP) that Dan is referring to is available within the activities section of Activprimary if that helps? +wave+

Hi Dan
You know if you don't ask you don't get!!!!!!!
Would it be possible to make a hundred square in the same format as the 0-20 number line so that the children can change the colours of the various numbers for mental maths questions, to show a pattern etc?
That would just put me on{}

Oh, I want to put you on cloud nine!

I searched through the resource library for hundred charts but could not find one that did want I THINK you wanted.

But I did find a background. So this is what I did.

1)I put the hundred chart background on the page.
2)I created little black squares to cover each number but made them transparent and locked them so they could not be moved.
3)Then you can ask the children to take the paint bucket an "fill" a square. (The number will still be visible in the background through the paint since the I made the square translucent.)

I hope this is what you were looking for!

I made this on a Mac so I hope my transparency "sticks" when you open it up. Let me know!

And heres an adaptation of the twenty numberline so it's easy to change numbers and steps etc.

Hope this doesn't disappoint!

I have submitted a flipchart containing an updated hundred square (with additional toggle buttons) along with lesson notes and extension ideas to the UK resources section.

You should be able to download it from there soon.

I use the number grid ITP. Not quite as pretty as Dan's, but in general it does a similar thing! [clap]
