View Full Version : Updating AP to 3.0.71

Hi,
I've just downloaded the setup file for the above update. When I tried to run it, I got an error message "this patch could not be opened. Please contact the vendor to verify that it is a valid windows installer patch package".
Has anyone else had the same problem or got a solution?

I will need to check but I think that this is the Activstudio patch and you are writing in the Activprimary forum. Have you downloaded or tried to upgrade the wrong platform :eek: I believe AP's latest patch is .62.... .71 is the AS patch.

Also which country are you from? This will also make a difference....

Hi Margaret,
I'm in the UK and downloaded the update through AP3's dashboard. I check for the updates fairly often and it's just appeared in the last week.

I've successfully updated a couple of stand-alone installs of AP to this latest version (3.071) without any problems.
There is a different route for network installs -

If yours is a stand alone install I suggest you call tech support and talk through the issue.
