Hello All,

Anyone tried to do SPAN across & Monitor Split features through using graphic cards on ACTIVBoards?

I am not sure is it workable but i am going to try it out. Using 2 projectors with 2 78" ACTIVboards connected to a PC that supports dual monitor capability and try the SPAN across feature as well as monitor split. The thing about it is, i'm not sure even if it is going to work, how am i to callibrate across 2 ACTIVBoards as a single expanded workspace:rolleyes:.

Regardless, i am going to try it out.

Will keep all posted if i have successful :D

If someone has done it....LET ME KNOW how you got it done...

Regards,

Justin

Hello, Justin. I haven't heard of it being tried before, but can see no reason why it wouldn't work. If you have a version 4 driver installed (Which I believe are available in your area) and multiple monitors enabled it should ask you which screen you want to calibrate. I'm not sure if it will allow you to calibrate both seperately (First one then the other).

Sonya Horton, our software accreditation person here at Promethean House, uses this technique, but she's not here today. I'll try and remember to ask her on Monday as I've no idea how she does it!

Hi,

I have never actually spanned across two boards, although I do currently span across my laptop monitor and one board. This allows me to run and display the software I am testing on the whiteboard while I display my accreditation criteria on my laptop screen.

I calibrate the board in the usual manner but it asks me which screen I would like to calibrate. In this case to calibrate correctly you need to know which screen your external monitor (whiteboard) is set up as.

To do this go to Control Panel then Display and in the settings tab click identify this will display show you which screen is screen 1 and which is screen 2.

If you do manage to span across two whiteboards I think you should be able to calibrate each one seperately in this way. Sorry i'm not sure how you can connect it up to do this but please let me know if you manage to figure it out:confused:.
