I'm currently quite interested in Video Conferencing and was wondering...
Is it possible to hold a video conference and have ACTIVsoftware running as a shared application so that the 'page' is editable by both/all parties simultaneously whilst maintaining a VC link. I can think of loads of reasons why this might be a useful facility.
Are there any precedents for this kind of thing?
What do people think?

I don't see why this shouldn't work. Activstudio SHOULD be like any application and most video conference systems allow the host to hand off control of their screen to another participant.

The only thing I can think of is connection speed and possible lag time. Since AS is FAST-- drawing or writing quickly on your Activboard may show up slower over the internet than is would be locally so you would want to make sure what the others on the other end are seeing so you don't move to fast for the connection to deal with. Probably even worse if you flip contains video!

Dug,

Try Elluminate. You can get a free v room from them. You can share apps and it automatically adjusts for network speed.

Thanks, Bill
I've had a quick look at Elluminate and it looks very interesting indeed - I'll certainly be trying it out.
