7 New Resource Packs on US Planet

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that there are seven new resource packs that just posted on Promethean Planet.

Maps of the US Resource Pack
This resource pack includes 52 reference maps from the National Atlas including all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Geography/Maps/USAstates.

Maps of North America Resource Pack
This resource pack includes 10 reference maps from the National Atlas including several maps that you can layer and use the spyglass tool to see “beneath” one map to another. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Geography/Maps/NorthAmerica.

Washington D.C. Resource Pack
This resource pack includes high quality images in a variety of categories including: Federal Buildings, Maps and Aerial Views, and Museums and Memorials. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Geography/Places/Washington_DC.

Aesop’s Fables Resource Pack
This resource pack includes pictures to illustrate 34 of Aesop’s fables. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Language_Arts/Literature/Aesops_Fables.

British Poetry Resource Pack
This resource pack includes images of and texts from some of the most recognized British poets: Christina Rosetti, Emily Bronte, Robert Burns, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Lord Byron, Thomas Hardy, W. B. Yeats, William Blake and William Wordsworth. Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales with 78 supporting images are also included.
These resources will install in SharedCollections/Language_Arts/Literature/British_Poetry.

US State Birds Resource Pack
Images of all of the official state birds. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Social_Studies/US_History/US_States/State_Birds.

US State Flowers Resource Pack
Images of all of the official state flowers. These resources will install in SharedCollections/Social_Studies/US_History/US_States/State_Flowers.

Be aware that they are US developed so they may install a little differently on a non-US resource library since they're different.

Also, they can only be used if you have version 3.0. Not sure if the Mac one is out yet, but I heard rumors...:rolleyes:

Thanks for posting these. The resource packs are awesome. My only question is, if they are all images, why are they going into the Shared Collections section, and not the Images?

Great question! At first, I was placing them (the first few I did) in the Shared Images in the section I thought most logical for the current resource library, but I found out (through another Planet member) that unless I put them in Shared Collections, the Activprimary users were not able to install them.
