Hi,

I am in Vic and our school has boards in every room. We have had them now for one year yet I managed to have a board in my room for the year before that. You must be addicted as it is Sat night! Hee hee.

Hi, I am in Canberra. I teach at a Primary School and we have boards in every room. We have had them since early last year, love them but we still have a lot of learning to do.+wave+

Hello Colleen

Greetings to the Hunter Valley, a place that produces great wine which sadly seems virtually unobtainable in the UK :(

You could contact Kate Seabrook at Commander, our partner distributor in Australia. I'm sure she would be able to help you make contact.

Hi, I am in Melbourne and we have whiteboards in all our Yr7-9 rooms and a small number scattered throughout the rest of the school.

I moved this thread to be near to the E-pen pals thread from the USA. Perhaps the Aussies and the Americans could hook up? :)

I'd be interested...I teach 9 & 10 year olds in a public school just outside of Chicago.

Hi

I'm at Brisbane Grammar School, located a fewe hundred metres from the city centre.

We have boards installed in numerous rooms around the campus.

I love the IWBs and the kids seem to like the flipcharts as well.

In case Aussie's aren't aware the National IWB Conference is being held on the Gold Coast later this year....the link is
http://www.iwb.net.au/conferences/default.htm

Maybe a group of us could meet up (if anyones coming) and share our ideas/uses?

I'm actually a language teacher and think the flipchart and boards are excellent!!

As a TLA here in NZ I visit a great many teachers with ACTIVboards. I have connected many teachers around NZ with each other via email - based mainly on the age level they are teaching but also proximity and platform (Windows or MAC). Teachers also use the boards in quite different ways and so it is good to introduce people who have different styles and ideas. From the feedback I have had, it sounds like a positive way of sharing. Regional user group meetings also provide this opportunity and we have had schools from one city travel to visit schools in another - great PD! :-/

Can't help with Commerce, but I may be able to help with Humanities, as I have used the board with both Yr7 & Yr9.

Cheers
